Mariah Anoceto is an artist and haiku poet based in West Palm Beach, FL. She received a B.A. in English from Flagler College. After graduation, she started her teaching career as an elementary educator in English, Art and Science. She also taught small group studies to Waldorf educated students which included basket weaving, textile arts and herbalism. After leaving her career in teaching, she began to develop nature-based homeschool curriculum.
She has authored, illustrated and published the curriculum Alphabet Forest and Kinder Forest under her publishing company Acorn to Oak.
As a poet, her haiga gallery was debuted by Modern Haiku in issue 51.2, Summer 2020. Her haiku has also been published by Frogpond, hedgerow, and the HSA Anthology 2020. Mariah Anoceto’s author bio is also showcased in The Haiku Foundation’s Haiku Registry.
